We’re proud to share the Nonprofit Alliance of Bermuda’s Annual Impact Report for July 2024–June 2025.
This past year was shaped by a clear focus: helping nonprofits build the capacity they need to lead, adapt, and deliver lasting community impact. In a time when Bermuda’s nonprofits are facing rising demand, tightening resources, and increasing complexity, capacity building isn’t a “nice to have.” It’s the infrastructure of impact.
This report tells the story of what we accomplished together — and what’s possible when a sector is strengthened from the inside out.
What We Achieved Together This Year
Between July 2024 and June 2025, the Nonprofit Alliance served:
- 204 individuals
- From 81 organisations, including 69 nonprofits
That reach represents more than participation. It represents a sector leaning in — learning together, collaborating more deeply, and investing in long-term sustainability.
Impact Highlights
Our year-end survey and event evaluations point to a year of real momentum:
- Member satisfaction and mission impact
- 95% of members who responded rated NAB as effective at achieving our mission of strengthening and unifying the nonprofit sector.
- 96% rated us as highly effective at meeting their organisation’s training and development needs.
- Information sharing and resource support
- 100% of survey responders rated NAB as effective in helping them access relevant information and resources that build cross-sector awareness and efficiencies.
- 75% said this assistance was significant.
- Stronger relationships across the sector
- 76% of members reported improved relationships and trust across the sector as a result of our work.
- 100% said they felt supported and valued by NAB.
- Training that translates into confidence and action
- Across 265 training attendances, an average of 98% of respondents reported improved knowledge.
- 94% reported improved confidence after participating in our events.
- PROPEL: building leadership for complex challenges
- Midterm evaluation results showed 100% of PROPEL pilot cohort participants experienced:
- increased confidence and motivation
- stronger problem-solving capacity
- meaningful relationships within the nonprofit sector
- clearer alignment on organisational strengths, challenges, and improvement areas
- Midterm evaluation results showed 100% of PROPEL pilot cohort participants experienced:
- A growing and engaged nonprofit community
- NAB has seen 37% membership growth over the last two years — a strong signal that nonprofits want connection, practical support, and shared learning.
These results reflect more than approval of programmes. They show a sector that’s becoming more connected, more skilled, and more prepared to tackle Bermuda’s biggest challenges.
Why This Work Matters
Capacity building can sound technical — but its impact is deeply human.
When nonprofit leaders have stronger tools, boards have clearer roles, teams have more confidence, and organisations have trusted peer relationships, it changes what’s possible for the people they serve. It means better services, smarter strategy, healthier workplaces, and more sustainable results for Bermuda.
What Comes Next
As we look ahead, we’re carrying forward the lessons and momentum of this year:
- continuing to expand high-value training and leadership development
- rolling out accreditation and certification services
- growing PROPEL and other innovation-focused supports
- advancing cross-sector collaboration and systems-level advocacy
- ensuring nonprofits have access to practical tools and timely, Bermuda-relevant resources
The needs in our community are real — but so is the sector’s ability to meet them when it’s supported well. We’re committed to staying alongside nonprofit leaders every step of the way.
